Testimonials

Charles Phelps Said:

"I received my degree at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. I earned an associate degree in the Network Specialist-CIS program and a Network Security Certificate. NWTC has an excellent staff of teachers and provides an environment second to none. All staff are willing to go the extra mile to help you succeed. It must also be noted that the environment prepares you to learn and assigns a responsibility to the student to succeed. This is an essential skill in the business world. In the business world you have to be able to take on responsibility and work hard to achieve you goals. While attending NWTC classes I worked at Georgia Pacific in facilities. I ran network cables and racked Intel servers. I worked very hard at my job and on my classes at NWTC. I am now working at Sun Microsystems a world wide technology vendor. I am a Customer Service Engineer and I work in a SAN storage envoirnment. I work on mid-range to enterprise disk subsystems as well as mid-range to enterprise tape libraries. I would not be where I am today without the excellence instilled in me by NWTC staff and programs."

Paul Massey Said:

"The exceptional instructors who teach the Network Specialist program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College challenge their students to be the best they can be, instilling the necessary work ethic, determination and expertise required to be a success in today's technological world. This has allowed me to pursue a Master of Science in Information Technology with an emphasis in Security at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. At the same time, I apply what I learned on the Configuration Management team for Tickets.com, an international software company (selected as the Official Supplier of Ticket Services for the 2010 Winter Games)."

Luke Vandenavond Said:

"After graduation I attended a four year college to pursue a bachelor's degree of science in MIS, which I am happy to say I completed this February. While working on my BA in MIS, I worked as an intern at Harley-Davidson. At Harley I provided level 1 and level 2 help desk support. The internship ended with my graduation, and I am now happy to say I have a full time programmer analyst position at Northwestern Mutual. So far the new job has been exciting and challenging!

Beyond an update, I also wanted to write to let you all know about the quality of the networking program at NWTC. From a technical skill stand point, I apply what I learned at NWTC on a daily basis. When compared to what was provided at the four year college, the technical knowledge base I gained from NWTC was far greater. The four year college helped expand my understanding of IS' business side, but I will always be indebted to NWTC and more specifically that Network Specialist program for providing me the practical skills needed to succeed. I find myself preaching the quality of education I received through your program to anyone willing to listen. If there is anything I can do to help with the continuing success of the Network Specialist program, please let me know."

Jack Lagina, Green Bay Metro Sewerage District (GBMSD) Said:

The Network Specialist Program instructors are very knowledgeable and take great pride in their student’s education. The real world experience the instructors bring to each class is invaluable to any learning environment. This program not only taught me the skills to succeed but also gave me the confidence within myself to succeed as well. When you graduate from NWTC with a degree as a Network Specialist you truly feel like you have accomplished something great that can and will grow into a great future.

Aaron Wallrich, Wallrich Agency, Inc. Said:

"My employer asked me to take over administration of their network. Rather than racking up expenses buying a platform I was more familiar with I enrolled in NWTC's UNIX class and learned exactly what I needed to in order to confidently administrate their network."

Sean Nelson, Owner/Network Engineer, ITOMIX, LLC Said:

"I loved the ability to use the labs at NWTC to go beyond the classwork and experiment on the very cutting-edge of the industry. We learned to research technologies and theories that don't even have whitepapers written on them yet. That really helps you think for yourself and be creative in business."

Jeremy Tourville Said:

"The depth and breadth of classes taught at NWTC prepare students well for jobs in industry. The instructors change materials as needed to keep pace with industry changes. Each instructor is committed to helping you achieve your goals and succeeding in your classwork. Hands on labs provide real world experience. I have been very pleased with my experience here and would call the program an excellent financial value."

Jenna Hyska Said:
